The 3-5 Who's Doing the Work? Lesson Set Kits

The Who's Doing the Work? Lesson Sets (Burkins & Yaris, 2020) were born out the need to offer additional scaffolding to teachers as they put the ideas from the Who's Doing the Work? professional book (Burkins & Yaris, 2016) into practice in their classrooms. The set of 30 lessons--six "sets" of five lessons (Reading Art, Next Generation Read Aloud, Next Generation Shared Reading, Next Generation Guided Reading, and Next Generation Independent Reading) are each connected by a common instructional target. 

Each Who's Doing the Work? 3-5 Lesson Set Kit includes the following:
  • A Teacher's Guide with four pages dedicated to each of the 30 lessons
  • A copy of the professional book, Who's Doing the Work? How to Say Less So Readers Can Do More (Stenhouse) 
  • A prompting funnel tool
  • Reading Art cards
  • All of the texts for the Next Generation Read Aloud lessons
  • All of the texts for the Next Generation Shared Reading Lessons
